The University of North Texas Department of Mechanical Engineering was represented at the 2020 International Polyolefins Conference by two outstanding doctoral candidates, Mahan Ghosh and Tonoy Chowdhury.

Ghosh was awarded the SPE Scholarship from the South Texas Section and Chowdhury placed third in the poster competition for his research on “Impedance & Non-Contact Based Multifunctional Polymer Textile Sensor.”

Both Ghosh and Chowdhury work with Regents Professor and College of Engineering Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies Nandika D’Souza.
